Department Overview:

Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existence in the year 2008. Since its inception, the department has constantly focused in developing the academic excellence of the students. The curriculum of this branch is designed in such a manner that it covers the most recent trends in technology to keep pace with the national standards.

Mechanical Engineering department has 120 intake capacity.

Vision:

To develop the department of Mechanical Engineering as the center of excellence while producing quality mechanical engineers who can contribute efficiently to the technological development.

Mission:

  • M1: Imparting quality education to make the mechanical engineers globally competitive.
  • M2: To develop state of art facility related to mechanical engineering.
  • M3: To provide personality development skills to the students for exploring their leadership quality.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):

  • PEO1: To understand working knowledge (principle) of equipments relate to thermal, production, design and engineering material areas of Mechanical Engineering.
  • PEO2: To develop innovative ideas to various mechanical engineering problems.
  • PEO3: To develop professional leadership among the boarding engineers.
  • PEO4: To nurture academic environment so that graduated are motivated to be an entrepreneur.

Program Outcomes (POs):

  • PO1: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
  • PO2: Identify and Analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
  • PO3: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
  • PO4: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
  • PO5: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
  • PO6: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
  • PO7: Ability to Analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

  • PSO1: To understand the concepts in various areas of Manufacturing, Thermal and Design.
  • PSO2: To apply the engineering concepts and solve the problems through latest techniques.
